Payment Methods

Payment can be made using the following payment methods: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, UnionPay, PayPal and Klarna.

When paying by card, the amount will be reserved on your account in accordance with the terms of your card until we either withdraw or reject the payment. The amount is deducted when the item is dispatched.

If several items have been ordered in one order and one or more cannot be delivered immediately, we will only deduct the payment for the item(s) at the time they are dispatched.

Delivery

We deliver goods to addresses across Europe. Goods are typically delivered 2 to 5 business days after your order. Please refer to the individual product pages for more specific delivery information.

We offer the following delivery methods, depending on the country you're ordering from: Bring, DHL, Hermes, Colis Privé, PostNL, Bpost.

Pre-orders: 

If your order contains pre-order products, the order will not be dispatched until all products are in stock. The expected delivery time is shown on the product page and in your order overview.


Right of Cancellation

You can cancel your purchase within 30 days, without giving any reason. If you have purchased several items in one order, you may choose to cancel some or all of them. Delivery costs are not refunded for partial cancellations.

The cancellation period expires 30 days after the day on which you — or another person you have chosen to receive the goods (excluding the carrier) — take physical possession of the goods.

If you have ordered several items in one order and we cannot deliver them at the same time, the cancellation period runs from the day you take physical possession of the last item.

If you have ordered several parts or batches of an item, the cancellation period runs from the day you take physical possession of the last part or batch.

If the cancellation period expires on a public holiday, Saturday, Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve, the period is extended to the following business day.

How to Cancel

To cancel your purchase, please notify us clearly that you wish to cancel.

We will acknowledge receipt of your cancellation by email immediately.

You can also use the standard statutory cancellation form reproduced at the end of these terms and conditions, but its use is not mandatory.

You cannot cancel by refusing to receive the goods or by failing to collect them without also notifying us of your cancellation.

The cancellation deadline is considered met as long as you send your notice of cancellation before the cancellation period has expired.


Returning the Goods and Return Costs

If you have cancelled your purchase, you must send or return the goods to:

without undue delay, and no later than 14 days after notifying us of your cancellation. The deadline is met if you return the goods before the 14 days have elapsed.

Goods cannot be sent cash-on-delivery or without home delivery.

We cover the cost of returning the goods. You can request a return label through our return portal: https://app.claimlane.com/c/gastrotools.com.

Refund Upon Cancellation

When you cancel, we will refund all payments received from you, including any standard delivery costs. This does not, however, apply to any additional costs incurred because you chose a delivery method more expensive than the cheapest one we offer.

If you have purchased several items in one order and only cancel part of your purchase, we will not refund the delivery costs.

We will refund the amount without undue delay, and in any event no later than 14 days from the date on which we received your cancellation notice. We may, however, withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods, or until you have provided proof that the goods have been returned — whichever is earliest.

Refunds will be made using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees as a result of the refund.

Condition of the Goods and Packaging

You are only liable for any reduction in the value of the goods caused by handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods. You may inspect and try out the goods in the same way you would in a physical store.

Goods must be returned in their original packaging. The packaging may be opened, but not damaged. If the packaging is missing or damaged, this may constitute a reduction in value for which you are liable.

You should also ensure that the goods are packaged securely when returning them. You bear the risk for the package and goods until we receive them, so keep your postal receipt and any track-and-trace number.

Complaints — If There Is a Problem with the Product or Service

The Danish Sale of Goods Act applies to consumer purchases. If there is a defect with the product — for example a material or manufacturing fault, or incorrect information about the item — you have the right to make a complaint. Normal wear and tear or self-inflicted damage are not considered defects.

You can submit complaints about defects in the goods within 2 years from the date of delivery. To submit a complaint, contact our customer service at info@gastrotools.dk or use our complaints portal: https://app.claimlane.com/c/gastrotools.com 

Please notify us within a reasonable time after discovering the defect. For transport damage, please notify us as soon as possible. Any notification made within 2 months of discovering the defect will always be considered timely.

Please describe the issue in as much detail as possible, and include photos of the defect where applicable. If we need to inspect the item, it should be sent to:

You can request a free shipping label via our portal: https://app.claimlane.com/c/gastrotools.com. If you choose to return the item using another method, we will reimburse reasonable and documented shipping costs — up to the amount it would have cost us using our return label.

Items should be packaged securely.

Complaint Options

If we cannot reach an agreement on what you are entitled to, you have the following options:

A complaint about a product or service can be submitted in Denmark to Nævnenes Hus, Mæglingsteamet for Forbrugerklager, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, Denmark, via their online complaints portal. The mediation team will attempt to resolve the dispute, and if no resolution is reached, you may refer the complaint to the Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrugerklagenævnet).

As a general rule, the product or service you want to complain about must have cost at least 1,110 DKK and no more than 100,000 DKK. For complaints about clothing and shoes, the price must generally be at least 720 DKK. A fee is required to have the complaint processed.

The EU Commission's online complaint portal can also be used to submit a complaint. This is particularly relevant for consumers residing in another EU country. Complaints can be submitted here: http://ec.europa.eu/odr.  When submitting a complaint, you must provide our email address: info@gastrotools.dk 

Other Terms

Gift Cards

Gift cards for gastrotools.com are valid for two years after issuance. Any remaining balance can be redeemed within one year after the gift card's expiration.
